Get your Motorcycle Leather -- that will give you the protection you need.

Motorcycle LeatherI have been riding and racing motorcycles for over 20 years. I would recommend that anyone riding a motorcycle wear motorcycle leather, to protect themselves against the consequences of falling off their motorcycle, and to provide additional weather protection that normal clothing would not offer when traveling at speed. A well protected motorcyclist will wear boots with heels that fit on motorcycle pegs and provide good ankle support, leather pants or chaps to protect the legs, a leather jacket to protect the trunk and arms, gloves and a helmet with eye protection.

Motorcycle LeatherCurrently there are two major styles of motorcycle leather. The tight colorful suits based on traditional one-piece motorcycle racing leathers, which are worn by racers and sportriders and the somewhat looser motorcycle leather jackets and pants used for street or cruising.

In studies of various garment materials to a 50 MPH ride on asphalt, for example, denim lasted no more than four feet before wearing through. Kevlar, on the other hand, lasted eighteen feet. The standard motorcycle leather quality (about three times heavier than fashion jacket material) lasted eighty-six feet. That's more than 20 times as effective as your jeans in protecting you.
